Your day.

You'll work with one other Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you'll collaborate with several Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses, Social Workers and Chaplains.

  • You would split your practice between our PET team (psychiatric evaluation team) at St. Mary's Hospital and our outpatient Primary Care Clinic, Patterson Primary Care.

In this line of work every day is different, that's why you'll need to know how to:

  • Diagnose a patients mental health status and help to identify triggers to mental health symptoms and behaviors
  • Advise management of patients experiencing acute behavioral disturbances
  • Advise management on changes to psychiatric drugs and contraindications with non-psychiatric drugs
  • Collaborate with care team to assess a patients capacity to make decisions about their treatment
  • Collaborate with care team to formulate a care plan and provide information on how the patient can access further support in the hospital and in the community

Your experience.

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • MD/DO License

  • Residency training in Psychiatry

  • Board certification or eligibility with the the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one

  • Ability to successfully complete St. Mary's credentialing process
